AMG supercharger pulley adjustment clearance on M113K

To ensure the long-lasting durability of our supercharger pulley and to guarantee your continued satisfaction, it is important that the clearance between the magnetic clutch and the pulley friction disc is properly adjusted.

The clearance should be measured with a feeler gauge between the magnetic clutch and the friction disc of the compressor pulley. Ideally, this value should range from 0.1 to 0.15 mm, but deviations up to 0.2 mm and a maximum of 0.25 mm are acceptable.

We place great emphasis on manufacturing the compressor pulleys with consistently tight tolerances. However, it is sometimes unavoidable that a tolerance of 0.05 mm on the friction disc arises after the pulleys are assembled. This may result in slight friction at a specific point when setting the clearance, for example, at 0.1 mm. For tuning and performance reasons, the 0.1 mm setting is preferred, and minor friction should be tolerated. If this friction is undesirable for comfort reasons, a larger clearance should be selected until the friction disc no longer rubs. The maximum limit of 0.25 mm must not be exceeded without prior consultation with us.

The clearance can be adjusted using the shims provided with the pulley.
